Rizvi were the architects on three projects for the Massachusetts Highway Department on a team led by a joint venture of Weidlinger Associates and Edwards and Kelcey. The firm was responsible for designing a $14M air intake building for the depressed artery located in the green median near Dewey Square. Rizvi was also credited with designing a $3M building to serve as one of the emergency vehicle stations for the Central Artery and developing the tunnel finishes for the Dewey Square Tunnel; the only portion of the new artery project that renovated and reused an existing tunnel structure. |
