Rizvi prepared the master plan to expand and reorganize the overall space use for the Peabody Essex Museum, the oldest operating museum in the United States. The museum consists of 100,000 s.f. of permanent collections, storage and research facilities. It is also home to two major research libraries. The master plan included programming, needs assessment and prioritization, development of a long-term space management plan, developement of numerous design approach alternatives and identification of discrete construction increments over time. The master plan was adopted by the Museum as the basis of a $32M phased construction and reorganization plan. |
